Reactivation time

This morning I went to reactivate my sim card as I had not used it in several months. How long does it take for a sim card to become active? Is there a waiting period?

I was under the impression they recycle numbers if they on prepaid.. If it's contract highly doubt they will recycle your number due to the duration of the contract remaining. If it's to unblock/uplift immediately sometimes but not sure with CELL C.
