Read the final lockdown regulations in full here

Is there any clarity on what the process is when we need to go out for an essential service? Do we simply go, tell whomever stops us and be on our way?

I am trying not to go out but may have to for food and will definitely have to for medical appointments at a hospital.

It's going to take a while when lockdown starts for people to understand.

Not being negative here but chaos and anger are gonna be hectic.

Army is gonna end up shooting people cause they not properly trained to handle stuff like this.

Zuma ANC and his thieves have left SA with little resources to handle this.

Cyril trying his best with fokol to work with. Except his massive pair of decision making balls.

Much admiration for Cyril.

Food stores are prohibited from selling goods that are not on the essential list - basically anything other than food, goods required for food preparation and cleaning goods.

This seems really silly. If my local Checkers/PnP also sells hardware, clothing, toys etc why shouldn’t I be allowed to buy them?

How much crime is going to happen during this 21 days. Would be interesting to see the stats. I would imagine domestic violence will be at the fore.

You need to be sure to get a note from your doctor, keep all receipts from the shops and pharmacy so if you are stopped you can provide identification and proof of your movements. No joy rides to your mates etc.

Some good ideas there that I will keep in mind, I will see if I can get a note from the doctor tomorrow, it is somewhat impractical though.

No, you don't understand it correctly.

There is something seriously wrong with your family if you go to a funeral every single day.

Also the laws are written with a whole nation in mind and not a single person thinking they know what a solitary hike is. They have no choice but to not allow it. It just practically makes sense.
Noted - let me rephrase: you are allowed to attend a funeral with 50 guests, but you will be shot if you take a solitary hike... I'm not a moer of a programmer but this logic somehow shorts my circuits. Now that specifics have been delt with what is your opinion on the logic?

You won't get shot. You will be asked to return home. Don't be so dramatic. ;)

I still find receiving a social grant funny. As that's probably the worst thing you could do. Perhaps join the 21st century and get bank accounts.

The guys in the video above were trained to handle ANY situation. Situation changes, they change and adapt.

Yeah.

These are the really well trained soldiers. What would take our kak South African National Defence force to do now would probably take these guys a week to do. With a handful of guys. That are not fat and lazy and useless.

And properly trained in crowd control. Fit as they should be.

ANC never expected this to happen. So they putting people with guns and ammo to do crowd control.

Massacre.

So according to the Trade and Industry minister cigarettes are not essential goods.
The minister of family and welfare better pull her socks up and prepare for a huge number of domestic violence cases etc....

Enjoy your Johnny Walker ministers......

I don't think any government in the world has restricted take-aways AND booze AND cigs AND online shopping etc etc.

ANC gone fully communistical here, god I sound like one of "those people", hopefully they'll get hauled to the courts. Aim here is to prevent spread of the virus NOT remove as many personal liberties as you can get away with.

The online delivery thing is pathetic. Rather send 1000's of people to the shops than letting it be delivered to your house. They probable want to prevent workers from going to the warehouses etc.

But they have so many industries still running, so will it really make a difference
