Really Bad Connection !!!!!

Hi All

Is anyone having really bad connectivity in the CPT Area I am on the Gardens Tower ? I have been averaging 50kbps since Friday both national and international. Really getting to me ? And I cannot get onto the Holiday Inn Tower to see if it is the tower I am connected to. I have logged a call but that could take awhile. Anyone know what the call SLA for IBurst is ?

Yes there is something terribly wrong with the Gardens base station, my speeds have dropped from > 1Mbps to < 28 kbps during the past week.

I have contacted iBurst and hopefully NoWire will be here tomorrow afternoon as per iBurst's request as they believe it is possibly my external antenna or other settings that are at fault, which is highly doubtful as Tradepage has been here several times the past week and is not able to find fault with my equipment and or set-up.

I am in Tamboerskloof with direct LOS, les than 1.5 km away with a directional antenna pointing to the Gardens Centre’s roof.

Will let you know of the outcome.

The whole Cape Town network was messed up until recently, I think it seems to be fine now. It was even on the Helpdesk auto message thing.

Are you guys still having problems? Becasue since Fridays ive also had this problem, luckily im capped, but pings were dropping like flies..

Nope it hasn’t improved at all, packet loss increasing, poor signal, speed rock bottom, etc.

It's still messed up for sure and I'm getting alot of timeouts as well as slow downloading, it was even slow loading this page.

Ja, it is a Cape Town wide problem guys, not your base station.

They said they were working on it earlier. I guess you can try phoneing them and asking when they will have it fixed by, but it probably wont help things much.

But mine did get alot better earlier today, it has recently got a bit worse though... atleast Iburst to Iburst downloads on the hub are fine even when the connection is screwed.. why dont you guys come on, finally there is whole 3 Cape Town people on the hub, speeds are nice though.
