Really crap tonight!

What with Seacom and FIFA, the internet really sucks tonight. But in addition my router is disconnecting with authentication failure on both WebAfrica and MWeb accounts. Keeps on logging in fine for a while and then disconnecting ... repeat.

Who else is having such fun tonight?

MWEB scrambles after Seacom failure

Derek Hershaw, CEO MWEB ISP said in a statement: "As an interim measure MWEB was able to secure alternative capacity on the SAIX network (Telkom owned) from about 17:00 on Monday July 5, until about 14:00 on Tuesday July 6. At that time, SAIX withdrew the capacity due to concerns over their bandwidth commitments to FIFA for the Soccer World Cup.

There's your problem - its news24.com

The news sites all have ads that get loaded from overseas sites - if you use ad block the side will load up much quicker when there is no international bandwidth.
