Seems there's quite a widespread issue with Realtek audio drivers preventing your computer from sleeping. It's mainly an issue when my laptop is running on battery especially with loadshedding, I walk away from my laptop at times and then loadshedding happens and an hour later the laptop still hasn't entered sleep and the battery is getting smashed.

Anyone experienced this and managed to find a work around?

I've tried powercfg -REQUESTSOVERRIDE DRIVER for the Realtek driver but that doesn't seem to help.

You sure its the audio driver? How can you tell?

Check your power profile, something may be amiss.

I have three laptops running with Realtek audio drivers and have never experienced this issue. In my opinion, it is likely your power properties as suggested by Rickster. You can also try to update your Realtek audio drivers to the latest version.

Since the latest Windows build my PC is utilising a generic MS driver (Audio Endpoint) v10.0.18362.1. Dig around here:

Latest dell drivers and power settings reset to default.

Send me teamviewer, ill check.

Alternatively, load a dummy user and see if the problem still persists, if it doesnt then its some kind of program or setting.

Lol, how much will you charge to decrypt my HDD after you've "fixed" my computer?

Just joking, thanks for the offer let's see how things go.
