I want to sell my iPad 3 32GB Wifi+3G sometime within the next 3 months. What do you think is a reasonable price to sell for?

I was looking around Gumtree from my quick browse it looks like somewhere between R4000 - R4500 is common. Is this about right or not?

For 32 gb version I would try for R5500.
I paid R4500 for 16gb version in March.

Mate of mine just picked one up in the States for half price (half of the US price)... not sure what they go for here but maybe that's an indicator.

But ja, your best indicator is usually the ads online, less a bit for negotiation unless you're flooded with interest.

Thanks for the replies so far. Think I'll just post an ad a bit earlier at a higher price then drop it if there isn't interest. Did this with a washing machine once and it sold within 4 hours of putting the "expensive" ad online :wtf:

I'd say under 4. Personally I wouldn't spend more than 3.

I've seen iPad4's go for R2800 on Gumtree. You can easily get an iPad3 2ndhand for R3k if you spend a bit of time on it.

Speak of the devil: http://www.gumtree.co.za/cp-compute...gb-wifi-4g-at-t-black-smart-cover-b-482726388

Looks suspiciously cheap with all those extras though.

Well i bought my Ipad 3 16GB version with 4G for R2500 on gumtree a week or 2 ago.
It was advertised for 3K and brought the lady down to 2.5K

You got to look out for bargains and you should know how to bargain properly.

It also came with a free prepaid microsim :D
