I did that once and found it doesn't gracefully shutdown .... I lost all the credit I had built up in Poker! Alternatively, there is a free app called QuickPull which I usually use when I want to force a reboot.

Mine seems to have worked fine... BB 8520 Curve OS5

Mine seemed to have worked wonderfully. Thanks for the tip, definitely better than the manual pull.
I also tried QuickPull before and found that it wasn't working all that great for me.
