Hi guys, the company I work for might need a small website done with a shopping cart facility with probably around 20 products.

I know you get tools like Joomla and Open cart but I am a complete novice when it comes to that kind of thing and would rather get a professional.

Recommend someone please?

Thanks.

Pm me your contact details, I'll hook you up with a simple opencart store for free... People wanted to rip me off badly when I wanted some help with uploading ect. Its really not that bad, will probably take us less than an hour to configure it using Skype

Thanks for the pm's and suggestions guys, my boss wants to keep this on ice at the moment. Should we go ahead in the near future I will look at all the suggestions again.

Special thanks to Ipwn 4 for being willing to sit with a webdesign dumb-ass on skype for an hour :D.

Hey all, i have a similar issue. i would like to get a website going for my community, but without the bells and wistles like purchases and so forth, im looking for a solid (and free) web design package that can help me develop a very simply website for the purposes of uploading pics of community events, comments and so forth.

please reply if you can assist. :)

Hehe not a problem dude, when I started mine I knew nothing about web design, learnt everything I know as I went along. People overestimate the work involved in our modern open source times and get taken for a ride regularly, found a company last week selling opencart site with premium opencart themes under the following :

Powered by [dumbassIT]
Theme designed by [dumbassIT] from themeForest.

All they have done to the site in terms of code is remove all the references to the respective owners and replaced it with their own name and purchased a $20 theme, the rest is all stock standard. How ethical is that? They probably have a resellers hosting package under which they host all their sites in the US for peanuts? I don't mind people making a living, I do to with my companies. Difference is, I don't need money from any of my companies so I don't squeeze every cent out of people. I'd be more than happy to tell you where you can get something cheaper.

My 2c on this industry, I'm sure quite a few people will disagree with me but hey, that's what makes us human.
