Recommend a decent Router

Lightning done blew up my Telkom Netgear Router.

I bought this from Takealot literally the same day because it was a daily deal for R399 http://www.takealot.com/trendnet-internet-adsl-bundle/PLID40361166

I most likely going to return it, seeing that the Router and Range Extender are both not dual band.

So is returning it a good decision and what's a decent router to buy?

Just get the standard Huawei/Aztech one free from Telkom stores. It has great stats info and range is good, not the best but it is free so you can then get the router you like afterwards if you find it not up to scratch. (you have to stay with telkom for 2 years if you get the free one but just your line, data can be any ISP. I have found this to be the best solution.)

My telkom dsl2750 also got blown up recently.
I got the Totolink nd300v2 , but I only use it so if you want something cheap and decent then that's it.

I bought the Asus DSL-N66U router. It's pretty decent though not it may not fit into everyone's budget.

I have no regrets...

Budget? I also got the TP-Link Archer D7 around a month ago and very happy with it. If you want dual band Wifi, the Archer D2 and D5 is also dual band at better prices.
