I'm looking for a new integrated mini-ITX motherboard, I've been searching for a while but nothing really is jumping out at me.

My requirements are:

- Price must be less than R1,500
- Must have integrated CPU (Atom, Celeron, whatever)
- Must have full size DDR3 DIMM slot(s)
- PCI or PCI-e expansion slot
- Any display output. Doesn't matter as long as there is integrated video.

I would like it to also have the following (but not crucial):

- Fanless
- Gigabit LAN

And it would take the cake if:

- Dual LAN (Fast or Gigabit)

Anyone have any suggestions?

Sounds like a Microserver replacement :)

If so, this may be of interest: http://titan-ice.co.za/asus-j1800i-c-motherboard-mini-itx.html

This is from my local computer shop, so you may be able to find it cheaper elsewhere. The main drawback seems to be that it has only 2 SATA ports.

Thanks, I've seen that board though. It uses SO-DIMMS. I already have a bunch of DIMMS and don't want to have to purchase additional SO-DIMMS.

Sounds like you want to build an HTPC and a download server.

There was a thread not too long ago on the forum that some CPUs can't process 1080p @ 60Hz adequately. Keep that in mind.

It's for a router. My current pfSense box is giving issues and need a replacement board.

How about an ASUS AM1IA? Sure it 'fails' (inasmuch as CPU choice is an actual failure) on the integrated CPU parameter but it does at least take full-size DIMMs.

That'll work but I'm really looking for something that's passively cooled, hence the reason I want something with an integrated processor.

Yea, it's pretty much either the mini-ITX requirement has to go so you can get at full-size DIMMs, or you drop the RAM requirement and get the passively-cooled mini-ITX J1900 board of your choice.
