Recommend me a electric shaver please

Resurrection of older thread.

I'm considering a wet dry shaver. Looking for some advice.

I shave my face daily, and my whole head probably every other day.

I'm going through blades like nobody's business.

Reading some of the reviews of wet dry shavers, it seems you can pay R1500 for a name brand shaver and still end up with rubbish.

Any advice?

Will I have to spend upwards of R2k for anything half decent?

You will.

I tried a cheaper one, sucked.

I stick to my blades and just look after them well now.

I tried a Panasonic one a few years back. Dry only. It took an ages just to shave my face. So I gave up.

Yea, Mine was a braun.
Worked well till the foil packed up and the foil lasted about as long as a pack of blades lasts me. I was not getting a close shave and it was irritating my skin if I used it daily.

Was it a wet one? I was hoping that might help...
 
Philips Aquatouch.

You still going to need blades for those finishing touches though.

Gillette Fusion Power is my current razor, also shave head and face, a blade lasts me 4 to 6 weeks. Find blades anywhere but they brought out a similar model now, It's blades also fit on my handle. Also, ask at the cigarette counter or as the till as many shops don't keep the stock on the shelves any more due to theft.

I have that exact same one but if you need to cut your hair with it then I suggest you cut your hair with a Wahl machine without using a comb.
Only then would that Aquatouch be of any use.
You will have to clean the shaver as well as hair gets stuck in the Razor. It's not difficult to clean it either.
I haven't used this razor for cutting the hair on my head though.

Thanks for the feedback. The hair on my head does not get longer than that on my face. Think Pitbull (the singer, or whatever it is he does) :)
