I need an apostille services for emigration purposes.
Does anyone have one that they have used and recommend?

Maybe be a bit more specific in which area your looking for.

Also for the apostille services theres a lot of it you can do by yourself for free at DIRCO

Jhb area.
I would prefer not to mission too much myself, will have to take off work which is not worth it for me.
I have done one Apostille myself in Pretoria.
Was not a pleasant experience.
 
After struggling with home affairs myself for 6 months I tried Immigration Boutique
to help with some of these documents in the past

I have recently went through the document attestation process. I was quoted anything between R10k to R16k to get my qualifications done by agents (runner companies). So I did most of it myself from CPT.

It goes through multiple hands.

1st (Degree)
SAQA (R600) (+ Postnet delivery R100 ) (everything via email)

2nd (letter and transcript)
Attorney (Notarised) (R800)

3rd (Degree + letter +transcripts)
DIRCO (Free) (R1200 Delivery and collection via Courier)

4th
Embassy (R600 per page) (+R1200 Delivery and collection via Agent)

Total I paid R8700... just for my qualifications so to say these things are pricey is an understatement. It would probably be less if you stayed in JHB.
Took about 3-4 months. with 6 weeks being at DIRCO and embassy.

Apologies for the thread resurrection.

Wanted to know why the DIRCO Courier was so expensive. Thats crazy.

I need a single document apostilled and was thinking of getting my qualifications done at the same time. But if that's the cost, then I might just skip it.

DIRCO does not have a courier service or courier cost, you can use any courier you wish

the problem being whatever you want apostilled must physically get to their Pretoria head office and then get back to you, if you live in the area you can do it yourself, if you can't make it their yourself to hand deliver documents you'll need to use a courier

we're talking original documents and most people are not going to trust the post office with something that important of course

Ahh okay. Does it need to be done personally or can someone submit on your behalf?
 
DO NOT USE apostil.co.za, terrible service. They answer you quickly up until you pay, then it immediately goes silent. Dont answer phone calls or emails. Before you have paid they are very swift at giving you info to proceed.

Also their prices seem good, until you get the invoice, then realise they are all Excl VAT. So they are almost the same price as a reputable service.

Still, I maanged to do the same for less than R250 using the courierguy.
 
Everytime I opened this thread I wonder what an apostille service is. Always think its church related. Hopefully, because of this post, I recall what it is.
