Need to be able to VPN into a Server 2012 R2 machine, which ADSL router would be able to do the right port forwarding needed for it?

unless you're setting up the VPN on the router itself, then any ADSL router will work because the VPN connection will just take place over a normal UDP/TCP socket on the PPPoE connection, and what router you use has nothing to do with this

Most routers will be able to support pptp/l2tp/ipsec passthrough .

Only Certain routers however will be able to act as an endpoint

Do you want your router to be the VPN clinet for your whole network, connecting to the server 2012 R2 machine running a VPN server?

A little Mikrotik router would be able to do almost anything you want, but it might be overkill & complicated for your needs

DrayTek NAT/VPN routers

Hi bees,

We can help you with a DrayTek router which can do port redirection, or more simply just act as a VPN server for remote dial-in or LAN-to-LAN VPN accounts.

Let me know of your requirements in terms of:
-Connectivity (DSL/eth broadband)
-Type of setup and environment (home/small business/medium business)
-Feature requirements (WiFi/VoIP/etc)

..and I'll recommend the best options from our range.

Cheers
