Hi all.. So i got abit of money to investvin Ee. 20k to b exact.
I was thinking of dumping 5k on EC10 Now while its at its lowest. And the balance if 15k on some good stocks that would be on an upworth trend by next yeR some time. Looking to take advantage of this Bear market for short term gains... Can wait a year or 2 to cash out.
What shares do u guys recommended.
Im looking at purple, sibanye, thungela, grindrod. What do othwrs think.
Ca u guys giveme your 6 recommended stocks u would buy at this time with 15k.

Maybe invest in yourself And learn to type words out in full and use proper punctuation before you start going down the road of playing on the stock market.

It will get you much further in life.
sorry about that. laptop keyboard buttons not working so, using a mini keyboard which is a real pain in the cheeks. unfortunately too late for me in investing myself thats why looking for advice where i can still do some good. any advice u can give on the topic i would really appreciate....still have the old mxit fingers...

From the other thread:
So i took a DA loan recently for 55k, repayments are killer as im paying 2k pm over 5years, like 27%interest.

Don't even think of buying EC10 until the loan is settled. You’re risking a lot with no guarantee of beating 27%.

somewhat related, but not really ... this latest crash and the strong correlation across all tokens reminded me yet again I don't believe there's any value in owning a crypto bundle as opposed to just straight up BTC

need to sell all my EC10 someday soon and just buy BTC with it instead

That was the initial plan. But got caught up with the excitement of making some quick money by taking advantage of the low price of shares now before the uptick....

Don't get caught up in excitement. Pay down unsecured debt and then build up emergency fund before you start looking for wild trades. Last time life threw an emergency at you, you had to take out a loan at an extortionate rate (it happens…).

Next time, be ready with low/no debt and cash in the bank.

Gambling with funds borrowed at 27%? Sounds like a recipe for disaster to me.
No, thst was used for an emergency. The 20k is some of the savings i made over the last few month's and just looking for best place to place the funds

Here's a little free financial nugget for you - if you have any debt, everything you buy is on debt (opportunity cost principle). Best place to place the funds is in the loan

I feel like this podcast will do you a world of good.

Ignore the US info the rest is pretty sound.

You dont have the money to gamble on this.

As others have said you owe money and on one of the ABSOLUTE worst % 27% is almost loan shark level pay that first before doing ANYTHING

This kinda question

IS VERY DANGEROUS STAY AWAY from single stocks unless you know what you doing not a "hot tip" from a forumite, get a basket of diversified shares.

Lets pretend OP had no debt and 200K in savings.
What would your replies be then ? What would you do with that 20K ?

No debt? You have a home loan pay that first.

It depends from person to persons risk appetite.

Some my advise crypto, I would say stick to eth and BTC.

Maybe stock up on some USD

R20k isnt "that much" so you may as well throw it after crypto

Realistically speaking 20K at 10% is 2k a year, R166 a month
