I do not necessarily want a fancy fitness tracker; all I want is to count steps on a reliable device.

Any suggestions?

Im enjoying the charge 3, you can get it for like R150 a month on FNB

My wife has been using the DoFit tracker for a few months.
Retails for R599, has everything you need, step, HR, sleep, time with app pairing and hasn't given any issues

I had a b-fit that I got from game that was inexpensive. However, I noticed that it was pretty much on par with what my phone registered so when I broke the watch I didn’t bother replacing it.
