Extremely light gamer, but playing Minecraft every so often and want to stream Hitman and Dishonored to my device. I've tried in the past, the streaming works well, but playing with phone controls does not work well.

Quick search brings me to this:

However I have no experience with these devices.

I have big hands if that is something that needs to be considered.

In the past I use Moonlight to stream to my device or the steam link app. I found Moonlight to be a lot more reliable though. Is this still possible or any other alternatives for the streaming?

Thank for all the suggestions as well as the 🐑 comments.

I'm going to give this one a try in the meantime as it should arrive early. Please keep recommendations coming.

You sure you want a bluetooth controller, and not a USB-C? Might get more input latency with bluetooth, and possibly be unable to charge while playing...

Would prefer to have less cables and not power something from the phone, but will check out. Not really concerned about latency as its not latency sensitive games... i think so anyways.

Maybe you should first get the phone and see if its as fast as you thought its going to be, before you get gaming accessories.

Actually now I am not sure.

I would like the same with my Bluetooth earphones, just pick up the device and start using it. Probably won't use it for longer than 30min to 60min.

What would make a USB version better besides latency and long gaming sessions.

Then again a battery device will be an extra thing to charge I guess. Hmm....

People seem to be happy with the Plus even those who own the USB version.

EasySMX M15

I have one... its great. and the price is right. also has a mapping app that u can use for games that dont have controller support

check it out

Yeah, I've got the GameSir G8 Plus too. It's awesome and feels great. It works perfectly with my S25 Ultra and the tablet.

Do you make use of the rumble and gyroscope?

My issue when gaming over Bluetooth is the delay in sound. My phone doesn't have an aux input and my Bluetooth earphones have too much of a delay, so I chose the USB C version so I can plug in my earphones wired. It also has pass through charging but don't think I'll use it as I don't game that long. I don't have tablets or anything and I do have an Xbox remote for gaming on my PC.

So basically just the rumble and gyroscope that is missing then and wonder if it is worth getting the Bluetooth just for that sacrificing audio that is delayed.

No, I disabled the rumble. I find it distracting, to be honest. I'm using my Buds3 Pro in low latency gaming mode, found in the Labs section of Samsung Wear. The latency is still present, by maybe 0.5 seconds, but I don't play anything competitive via the GameSir, mostly platformers like Rayman or Sonic using Xbplay Xbox stream.

I'm not very impressed with the audio input on the USB C device (Galileo). It needs the GameSir app to work and had to install the latest firmware first, which failed a couple of times. Also seems glitchy if in PlayStation mode.

Having it charging at the same time introduces static noise.

That said I appreciate being able to use my wired in ears.

The rest is pretty amazing. Streaming Hitman via Moonlight (Android) and Sunshine (PC). People say they love the size of the remote, I wish it was a bit bigger. :) I'm not playing shooter games but buttons and sticks feels responsive.

The USB C input thingy works pretty well and is flexible. Also works with the phone cover on.

It grips the phone well and is designed to accommodate the camera bump without issues.

Have to go into developer settings and switch on USB Debugging for the remote to be recognised.

Will take another photo with my phone in later.
