I've got a ton of Tuya devices that I control locally, no better value for money at the moment. They're also really reliable when you have good Wifi.Same here, but I'm not holding my breath. In the mean time I'm just hacking cheap Tuya devices to be local only (and firewalling them) and they have been serving me well for a few years now.
They aren’t dependent on the WiFi for their operation from what I saw. The timer logic sits on the unit itself. Interesting. Because they seem to even store the energy usage. If the fiber is dead for a little while you just see a big energy spike which is the sum of all the energy usage during the time the WiFi was dead. The time during the outage it shows zero kWh.They only have a countdown timer, which needs to be set after each firing. They don't store schedules locally.
