Recommendations for ISP Halfway House, Midrand

Morning Folks,

I am moving to a new home in Halfway House, Midrand & need to find an ISP. The FNO is Metrofibre., but I have read so many contracting comments & am super confused as to who is the best ISP for this area.

Is it worth paying R2k extra for a business line (there are 4 gamers in the house)

I dont believe there is a point in going business, you would be better off just paying for a 5G backup service.

Happy to help, we put in a lot of effort for gamers with low latency routes and VPNs and the like.

Thank you for response. I went to your site, but this is shown... "Certain Metrofibre areas/complexes cannot currently offer 500Mbps+ speeds and therefore the 500Mbps and 1000Mbps packages are subject to availability and confirmation from the Cool Ideas connect team". The previous tenant had a 500Mbps and 1000Mbps line, but I also need to convince the folks I am sharing with that Cool Ideas is worth using. How do I get pricing & confirmation that this line is available to us? Thank you

I went to Cool Ideas site, entered the exact address.... but was shown... "Certain Metrofibre areas/complexes cannot currently offer 500Mbps+ speeds and therefore the 500Mbps and 1000Mbps packages are subject to availability and confirmation from the Cool Ideas connect team". I will wait for someone to get back to me.

Yeah so does it stop you there or do you continue with the application? I believe that is just informative. What is your application ref?

I am not [putting in an application, everyone in the house needs to decide on the provider... problem is that Cool Ideas is the only ISP that does not show a 500Mbps and 1000Mbps package. The others are leaning towards Metrofibre or Afrihost at the moment.

Contact Cool Ideas support & find out, if the other providers can provide 500 & 1000 mbps speeds. Cool Ideas can too.

With Cool Ideas and happy as well.

The IT company we use as consultants is even in talks with CISP to move all their clients over to them :)

You need to just click on the right arrow to go to the larger packages. They have always been listed, its just a note as some complexes MFN couldn't offer 500Mbps or 1000Mbps.

Morning, I have convinced the others that we should go with Cool Ideas. We are in a freestanding house, not in a complex - problem is when I put in the street address to try & process the order it keeps coming back with a complex name. Please assist. Thank you
