Recommended apps for new iPad user?

Hey, I'm getting an iPad soon and was wondering what some good apps are. Free or otherwise. I study mechanical engineering and was wondering if theres any nice apps I could use for my course at all?

Is it worth it to have a US iTunes account?

I have a US account and since I buy more games than other apps it has been. Apparently getting a kenyan account will work for games and other apps though and you can use your RSA CC on it.

does the kenyan account have ALL the games and what not that the US store has? Does it use USD pricing? Problem is I already have my US and RSA accounts so I dunno if I should get a kenya one as well.

No, Kenyan account is also limited, just get a USA account

I crunched some numbers and figured its still cheaper to buy music on nokia music store based on current exchange rates.

Also: make sure your location is one where they dont charge sales tax on iTunes purchases.
