Recommended bars in Jozi

Greenside has a large number of bars in a single stretch of road, so you can jettison the car and bar hop by foot

I first got to Jhb in the late 1970s, and I remember hearing that Greenside in Jhb was the only place that did not have any liquor licences, or at least no Pubs (restaurants I guess could still serve alcohol to diners)
Was this the case back then?

Picolinos in Fourways is also quite chilled. Good pizza, kinda like Andiccio (you get to make up your own pizza) but they have a set price and then you can put whatever you want on \o/
