Can anyone recommend some good Online training courses or a few good books i can read for photography. I've done the basic free canon course and know the basics but would like to learn lots more.

When i see all the amazing pics people post here I'm blown away. Are you all self taught? Did you take any courses?

I'm still trying to master the M mode :)

I find this guy quite helpful. Easy to understand and covers a great many topics. Also try AdoramaTV or just youtube.

hmm, well I read a couple of books that covered the basics years ago (probably when I was around 10-12, so these went way over my head at the time).

About a year and a half ago, when I picked up a cam, I really had no idea what I was doing. Since then it has just been lots of shooting, practising, and google or youtube...

There is so much free material on the web, that I really dont see the value in undergoing formal training...

You've just been Rockwell'ed. Just keep in mind, because he will, that no one will ever be as good as Ken.
