Hi there!

When I record from an external device, Tv or Radio, the sound goes softer and then louder. I am using an external video/audio device for recording.
I am recording allot of Music videos from Mtv or Vh1. When there's constant music and singing the sound is not that bad but also not that great. The minute there's little music and just singing, the sound goes allot softer. Why is it doing it? Please somebody help me!

Regards
John

somewhere in whatever program you are using or whatever sound applet ships with your soundcard you have the option for "noise cancellation" ticked.

Thanks for the reply
What do you mean by "you have the option for "noise cancellation" ticked"
Is it the actual software for this option?
Sorry I'm new at this.

Ye he means go and look at the settings of the software controlling either your sound card and/or the recording device and look if the "Noise Cancellation' option has been enabled somewhere - If so, turn it off.
