Recording software?

Hi all,

I need to record a phone call to my builder
Yeah, I know I need to tell the stupid **** that I am recording it, which is fine.

Now I have my bluetooth phone, which sets up my notebook as a headset, but now I need recording software for WinXP pro to record the conversation. I can record it directly on my phone, but I am afraid I won't have enough space on my Memory Card (its gonna be a llooooonnnnggggg shouting session)

Any ideas what I can look at?

There's a tool that can record any sound runnning through your soundcard ...

I think we used freecorder ...
We were trying to save a preview of a streaming ringone as a mp3 so we could use it - and it worked fine.

Oops - we used a thing called Audio Mid Recorder.
I'm not got time now - you find it .

tons to download...may find some other goodies.

Always mute your other channels-line/mic/cd/ and leave only wave on(in the recording option).That's to prevent any unwanted noise .

what about Programs -> Accessories -> Entertainment -> Sound Recorder?

I am using it every now and then on my Windows 2000, I believe on XP it is still there ...

hmmm true ... never thought of that ... I always use it to test if I have connected the cables correctly

I also use Audacity, it is free and pretty cool for recording

i use cooledit works brilliantly u can get a free trial here http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Audio/Audio-Editors-Recorders/Cool-Edit-Pro.shtml but the other apps mentioned are probably easier to use with less features I use it to do audio editing.

if you have a symbain phone you could just install call recorder that will record everything for you it has a 30day trail

Yep use it too.Now called Adobe audition.Love it.
