Recover DCIM folder

So I accidentally deleted my DCIM folder. A quick google search suggests it's possible to retrieve it again. My question is is there a window within which I need to do this to recover my files coz I'm only gonna have access to my pc over the weekend.

I have however used diskdigger and some other apps to retrieve some files, not all though.

Was it saved on your micro sd card or on your phone?

Used recuva to help with retrieving files (on pc) but if the device/sd card is used frequently it tends to overwrite the old files with new data.

My daughter has paid twice to recover lost files. It work well. You can wait long, no problem. Try not to use the disk.

It was saved on the device, I'm trying not to take any pictures or load any music on the phone until I'm able to connect it to my PC.
