Hi guys,
Apologies if this post is in the wrong place
, but it seems right to me
I have a friend who was recording a speech with NCH Swift and the machine was rebooted. Once booted up, the recording was gone. I am trying to help him out by recovering it.
My thinking is this, when recording with NCH Swift it creates a temp file (on the Hard drive). This gets deleted with the reboot, but there should be a file there to be recovered (unless the file was stored in RAM). If this is the case how can I recover it. I have recovered the files on the HD (but there are over 100 000) and they don't have the same file extension. I have tried based on file size, but from experience I know that a 20 kb pic is recovered as a 2 mb file (perhaps it "pads" when it recovers). What is an easier way to check for the recovered file. Does anyone have advice from your wide spectrum of experience?
Thanks,
Craig
