Recruiters choose the worst times to call, my suggestion is to never call at all. Email rather, if I am interested I will act on the postion if not then I won't.

If you must call me, email first and ask if you can call me.

Agreed! Well said!

And the worst ones are the ones that ask you to come and see THEM for no good reason.

They are like telemarketers. They know we would just rate their email as spam and let gmail take care of it. (Actually, come to think of it, if telemarketers were to email you it probably would be spam).

The pits though is when you get a LinkedIN invite from them saying that you worked together at a certain company. That's some real BS right there!

I normally use the ones that don't hound me anyway (like eMerge).

6:30am is the earliest a recruiter phoned me....It was an awesome opportunity, but I ended up not taking the job, because I would need to travel long distances just to get to the office.

I prefer the ones who use LinkedIn because they already then have an idea of your skills and qualifications.

They usually send me a job spec, asking me if I'd be interested in the position; that leaves it totally up to me to respond. All this takes place via LinkedIn or email - no intrusive phone calls.
