Red Sea problems delay multiple submarine cable rollouts

Multiple subsea Internet cables slated to run through the Red Sea are yet to be completed as planned, as political tensions and heightened security threats have made the route more dangerous and complicated for commercial vessels.

Meta Platforms' 2020 plans for 2Africa, a 45,000-kilometre subsea cable system, included a map showing how it would loop around the African continent to deliver vital high-speed connectivity.

Sounds like Starlink in SA.
I feelz you, my Red Sea brothers and sisters!

Can't they just get an ultra-religious guy to part the waters and then lay the cables down in an afternoon?
