Does anyone know what’s happened to the SA subreddit? I know there was a general blackout for most subreddits over the last few days but wasn’t sure if they took part and until when.

You've already answered your own question but it is still ongoing. Possibly indefinitely until Reddit changes their policy.

Indefinitely seems quite extreme. A lot of subreddits were only gone for two days and judging by the response of the CEO, it seems like it’s a hill he’s willing to die on.

Some subreddits are sticking to the indefinite thing.

The SA subreddit should. That place is toxic.

I haven’t used Reddit since Apollo announced they shutting down. Don’t think I’ll be back on the platform.

Which platforms do you use?

I have not replaced my Reddit time with another platform. I’ve now got my free time to focus on other things in life. So I do have to thank the Reddit CEO for that.

Ja, he seems like a d00s. Almost like he's a Hilux driver. Is totally oblivious to the world and people around him.

Don't worry it will be back. Most moderators and Reddit contributors never read the agreement. Your post on their website they own the content you own the consequences. Everything belongs to Reddit, every post every subreddit everything.

The CEO never played nice people was just too dumb to read the f.cking agreement.

Okay? And what is your point?

The strike is useless and everything will be back to normal. The CEO still owns all the content. My point is get owned or get smart.

Whilst they may own the content; many will just stop using the service. Myself included. Can't generate content without users.

The CEO is shitting on all his users and without them, he does not have a business. It's literally that simple.

The strike is also important; it's a democracy and people's voices need to be heard. Regardless if the CEO chooses to listen or not.

So, no it's not "get owned or get smart"

What a ridiculous thing to say.

You give the people of Reddit too much credit. You get the few hundred users that will stay away but the many thousands will go back after a few days. Not to mention the hundreds of YouTube channels that make money reading Reddit posts. They don't give a crap as long as there is content.

Yeah, I think things will return to normal soon. He already said he doesn’t give AF about the mods and that they’re looking to build in a feature for users to vote them out. It’s going to be chaos when users have that power and knowing people, they’ll vote with what serves their interests and I’m sure people want the subs to carry on operating.
