Anyone know who sells this gearbox oil in South Africa?
Pricy, but everything I've read it seems what might sort out my "notchy" gearbox.
Amazon have it, but don't deliver to SA
Thanks.

havent seen it in SA but i use Motul and Liquimoly in my gearboxes.Cant go wrong with any of them.My first choice would be Motul.

I bought MT-90 from chemsail a while ago. And the diff oil for the limited slip differentials. Last time I looked, their prices were a bit crazy.

If you look at the US prices it goes for $18/quart = R280. Chemsail sell it at R460. So I agree a decent markup on their side, doesn't help that it already starts off pricey. And I would need at least 2 quarts (=1.9l, the spec is for 2l so not sure what difference 100ml would make?)

How did you find it with regard to gear changes? I have seen lots of people recommend it.

So, the shifts were still okayish - but the MT oil had not been changed for 100 000 km as per the spec. Changing it seemed to smooth the changes out. Would recommend - but if the MT oil is old - you might get the same effects with a mobil oil/generic autozone replacement.

The biggest change was on the LSD. That quietened things down dramatically (LSD chatter is thing) and it helps the diff lock up quicker and harder in tight corners. Can feel the effect on handling.

Luckily for me, the 2 quarts ends up being slightly over what I need - so I can spill a bit etc. Depending on the car brand - they may have made allowance for the spillage and remains in the bottle. If the car is sold in the US, they would be silly to make it need slightly more than 2 quarts. They may just be rounding it for metric bottles in the SA manual. See if you can find any US forums showing the DIY change and required amounts.

One of those hand oil pump/syringe things is def recommended to get the oil in (esp for a RWD gearbox-in-the-middle setup). The redline bottles don't have the nozzle straw things (which don't work well in tight spaces anyway).

damit just get the motul , its better then redline.I did my research on this awhile ago.
