Redmi 5 Plus

Hi,
Recently got the RedMi 5 Plus phone from China.
Main reason I got it was for the battery time
It works great, except as it is the default China ROM, Google or anything Google related is blocked.
Now there is a World ROM available, but seems like everything I try does not want to work.
Anybody here have experience with these phones?

Hi. Did you manage to flash the Global Rom onto your device? I got my Redmi 5 Plus yesterday, its the Global Version so it already has the Global Rom installed.

Sorry, tried everything, but could not get the new version to install.
Phone kept telling me the new version is out of date.

At least the backup and restore function works 100%. Even programs and their settings is restored, unlike with my Samsung.
