Anyone know if its possible to redo certain high school subjects (Grade 12 subjects)?
I finished high school a very long time ago and have my Senior Certificate among other things but want to return to University to study again however the degree I am interested in requires high Math marks for entrance. I'm pretty sure I can acquire those marks now but just need to know where this can be done and how? If there is an online/distance option even better!

You may be able to get a waver or they probably could give you a test

the university may have bridging courses or simply do an online course (once again I highly recommend Prof Leonard on youtube). I doubt certification is necessary at this point. They will accept you based on your maturity/experience and not a certificate as such.

try your luck with form M30e - matric exemption certificate based on age

I contacted the university and they told me to redo the subjects.
I also thought since I already have a degree,post-graduate university certificates and plenty work experience they might go softer on me but I guess not. I have contacted MasterMaths offices. Heard you can redo Matric math with them as they are accredited.

THIS is the link for you.

If you did your matriek many years ago it is unlikely that you will be able to do just a few extra subjects. May have to do the whole thing again but still it is only two years.

Hope you have lots of cash to burn.

see if you can just write the exam or test somewhere after doing the Prof Leonard stuff, or other equivalent free crash course

It will take you less than 2 months to do matric maths, why waste any more time on it

You are right. I was informed I would have to do the whole matric thing over if I just want to improve my math marks! Errr...No thanks. Will check out Damelin and other options. Thank you for the links and suggestions. Will look into all of them.

My advice to you would start in 2017. If it takes two years then so be it. You have to look at this in terms of the rest of your life. You have the ambition to go to college. The college says you need a better Matriek so that is what you do.

I know it is a hassle and it makes you feel like a tool but just do it and get it over with. This is your future we are talking about. You will face many real hardships in life and to do a matriek over is not one of them.

He needs better maths not better matric results.

Huge difference

Why not register for N4 maths course at your local college ?

Thanks. Have never heard about this.... Will look into this however I found an alternative way to study for the degree I want and perhaps I would not need to redo maths after all. :)
