Does anyone know where I can find a T-Probe reed switch used to count pulses on volumetric water meters?

Any leads will be great!

edit: I put this in this thread as it will become an iot device. Please move it if not allowed here.

Thanks

You can strip the reed switch out of those magnetic door contacts of alarm systems. And just silicone it in.

any reed switch will work (as long as it is a reed switch and not a coil inside the tube ,a reedswitch will work very hard at full flow )and as long as you know if its n/o or n/c or even both combined (3wire).

alarm reed switch is n/o held closed .
Yeah, I had 1 x 3 way laying around, which I started hooking up.

Which seemed to have worked well until I broke the glass - So I ordered a couple more which I will be more careful with.

put the reed switch into a small drinking straw ,bit of prestic each end or silicon glue ,cut straw to required length

I use one of these with a D1 mini. Very simple.

I then use the city of cape town api with my creds to get the latest meter readings.

Automation is then in place to detect potential leaks.

The automation detects if 30 litres has been used between midnight and 4am. It has alerted and saved us numerous times.

I also have automation is place for 2Kl.

works very well. Alerts on phones and google home speakers
