I see they have section there to register company.

R125 if name already reserved or registering a company without a name. R175 for company registration and name reservation.

Recently quoted R1800 to register new company name: includes tax clearance, and share certificate.

Found it a bit steep!

Apart frm tax clearance, are these people charging for what can be done on CIPC for R175 or is there more to it?

Nope, that's it. Takes literally minutes.

Some print scan email admin afterwards, but that is all.

Was not criticizing was just asking if what they charge is what is available via CIPC.

I have just deposited money into my CIPC account will wait for balance to show they try.

If you are opening up a bank account for the company, most banks will assist with registering the company with CIPC included in the opening of the bank account for the company account. If I am not mistaken they also charge exactly what CIPC charge. The R125.00 for registration for a company without a name or R175.00 for company registration with company name.

Thanks

I had an accountant do mine, he also handles my returns with both SARS and CIPC. It's about the going rate if you don't want to DIY. Whether it's worth that much is up to you.

Okay just did mine this morning took me 10min, for me would have been too much to pay since I ma tech survey.

How does one get share certificate ?

The company itself can create them, if necessary.

But have a look at section 49 of the Companies Act, shares may be certificated or uncertificated.
