Registering .org.za

I've registered many .co.za(s) before, yesterday was the first time I did a .org.za. Does it really take so long?

Response today:

Your application for a new domain within ORG.ZA was submitted, and a delegation has been made. If the registration was successful there will be a delay of about 8 hours before the domain can be seen globally.

Hi Tohir,

It's more of a manual process than .co.za but you can expect 2-6 hrs after confirmation for the DNS to start working.

Only 8 hours? It used to take weeks!

Domain was finally registered. Took about 15 hours, but no communication. Discovered through WHOIS
