Per @DrJohnZoidberg thread relating to registering your Solar Installation with Eskom, for those on the CoCT grid, have you registered, and if not, why not?

The rules posted here: https://www.capetown.gov.za/City-Co...tall-a-small-scale-embedded-generation-system are filled with dire warnings* if you don't register.

Various installers I've spoken to have different opinions on whether one should or shouldn't.

* Dire warnings:

Properties with unregistered SSEG will be issued a contravention notice, be liable for a service fee and instructed to:

Disconnect the SSEG within five working days;
Provide a Certificate of Compliance (CoC) as proof
Register the SSEG within one month and conclude the authorisation process within three months

Failure to comply could result in the disconnection of the electricity supply to your property.

Submitted my documents for registration last week. CoCT confirmed receipt, but I am still waiting on a notification number.
