Has anyone else lost any of their car papers? My car is paid off and they would have sent me the papers, but I've misplaced them.

I guess this eNatis issue and not Wesbank?

Unless you filed the paperwork to put it in your name before you lost it then it is a Wesbank issue as they will have to redo that part (and they will).

Thanks

Let me chat to them

Looking into Wesbank - but will still give them a call

Major banks hold the papers for vehicles and the rightful ownership documents. They should be able to release them to you with ease. Though getting it is a process.

You can just request it again from the Wesbank website.

Will cost you R200-ish as I recall.

I phoned Wesbank - they cannot see who the title holder is. They sent this :

Kindly note, the registration documents were previously dispatched, and we require a payment to request for the duplicate registration documents on your behalf.

Should the NaTIS have been misplaced, we can request for the duplicate original on your behalf, provided that we are still the registered Titleholder. Please obtain a report confirming this from the Licensing Department before we may proceed with your request.

If you are already the registered Titleholder, we will not be able to obtain the duplicate original NaTIS on your behalf, and you will need to proceed with this arrangement in person and directly with the licensing authorities.

· R 440.00 for DSV locker and courier

Sounds right

Update :

Wesbank have confirmed they're NOT the owner and can no longer assist. Therefore, the owner SHOULD be myself - but I don't recall ever changing ownership details.

I'm going to have to go through a 3rd party such as https://weq4u.co.za/ to try sort this out and get my papers.

If anyone has used a 3rd party for this type of thing, please let me know!

Thanks
