I have this program called Registry Healer made by KSL Software which removes Invalid paths etc from my registry, - and usualy results in a machine that reacts faster. I find this a good tool to resolve issues with pc's etc.

Id like to know from everybody what Registry tools you guys use to keep your registry in good nick. What i don't want is Registry Defrag or Compression tools because every single one i've used i've had to re-install windows!.

I've recently started using Vista and everything was great for a wile, but now i notice its slowing down here and there, and to be honest, I don't have the tools to diagnose and repair like i do in XP - or atleast the software i have i doubt is compatable with Vista!.

I use CC or as its really called,Crap Cleaner..Excellent !
Im not using Vista and probably wont for the next 5 years or so,so Im not familiar with tools for Vista..

Registry Mechanic is the only tool I've found to be trusted. I've used version 4,5 and 6 and I've never had issues, great tool.

Not sure about Vista though.

I use TuneUp Utilities 2007 - and it's much more than just a registry cleaner.

Can't imagine my pc without it. ;)

I dunno, ran TuneUp in TRIAL mode numerous times, even after cleaning up 100's of mistakes I noticed no difference in the responsiveness of my PC.
It could just be a psychological effect.

BTW use a tool called MS BootVis, apparently re-arranges your files
at startup for faster booting, although they say XP does this automatically,
people still say this Microsoft tool speed up their boot.

Haha my Windows XP PC takes 2 minutes to boot fully (2GB RAM),
my Mac Pro (1GB) takes less than 10seconds. :)
