WTF That much for Nature vs Nurture battle. Some knew this all along but were too afraid to say something. As more and more facts are found out, it will be more and more difficult to hide the truth.

Citat: "Regular brain training didn't help people's cognitive performance at all yet aging had a profound negative effect on both memory and reasoning abilities". In other words, no mater how well I will train my beloved and highly intelligent German Shepard, it will never reason like a human :(

We need this test at our office. You should hear the ideas that are trumped up. Its often embarrassing to listen to the twaddle that is uttered from people's mouths.

I think this test is far more important than a lie-detector, which IMO is an expensive waste of time.

The study didn't monitor individuals' performance over time - it was a static, single input from an individual online. I struggle to see how they can possibly conclude this. They can state that those who perform brain training do not tend to score higher than the average or mean, but they cannot state that brain training had no impact on their cognitive performance over time.

I don't necessarily buy into there being such a correlation, but the conclusion seems a ridiculous stretch...

:wtf:

Dafuq are you going on about? The tests have nothing to do with lying or lie-detection...

It's well documented that educated people are less likely to develop Alzheimer's disease.

My dad is only Std 8 educated. I can see how his limited education and thought processes might not end well down the line :( Not enough thirst for knowledge and not open minded at all to learning new things!

Well, reading this test correctly, it basically means - intelligent people will not stop at standard eight and not the other way around! (Because people stop at standard eight will not get above average intelligent). This is nature vs nurture conflicting ideas. In other words, no matter how well you'll nurture a 70% intelligent man he will never gain the reasoning ability of someone with a IQ of 140 even if the 140% IQ has been nurtured only half as well. Intelligence can not be trained. Knowledge on the other hand can be learned. A intelligent man will learn it faster and apply it better. This is where the reasoning part comes into play.
