Rejecting evolution with science...

Language doesnt matter, you are mistaken in that aspect. Just because you think in your native tongue that does not mean the brain is working in your language ... again the brain only has two cards to play, chemical and electrical

this is why the brain cant feel pain
Of course language matters. Proper language is required to have a meaningful conversation.

We may both think about the exact same concept, but without having a language to share our thoughts, we will never know what the other person thinks and never share our ideas. Language matters, so does the proper use of it.

If the human brain were so simple that we could understand it, then we would be so simple that we couldn't.

Emerson M Pugh

I think it is impossible for humans to fully understand the human brain.

Woah these arent easy questions to answer. However you speak as if the brain has a secondary mode of action. For example when an individual is in love there is an increase in oxytocin within the body. This release is ordered by the brain. Your brain controls EVERYTHING and it does so with chemicals.
There's no evidence to point towards it not being a secondary mode of action. That the presence or absence of chemicals can alter brain circuits to experience emotions does not automatically suggest that it isn't just giving access to those emotions. Does the chemicals or the circuits themselves feel emotion? Until science can show how perception can manifest as something real there's no reason not to believe that there's another reality where emotion is just as physical as matter.

Consciousness is caused by neurochemical activity. Everything is, right down to your breathing. The master gland in the brain is responsible for every hormone in your body. For you to fall asleep the brain needs to send a signal for the body to release melatonin.
An electrical signal to the diaphragm causing muscles to contract and relax that's very much a physical phenomenon isn't evidence that the brain also causes consciousness.

Unfortunately I cannot provide the details that you satisfy you. You see the brain is probably the most complex object known to science, naturally its secrets will not be easy to unlock nor will the detailed science be such a simple task that a lay man can understand - that includes me. Im reminded everytime I see a neurologist's textbooks.

However to say that anything the brain does that is not caused by neurochemical activity is simply .... nonsensical. Even generating action potentials is done this way. The brain works on its own accord there is no spiritual power behind it, it will even augment your taste to ensure you are providing the correct nutrients for it. If anything with the complexity of the brain, its more likely the brain is capable of creating god than god is creating a brain.
The brain is so complex and yet you can confidently state that there's nothing spiritual behind. That doesn't sound like empirical science but more like metaphysical religious beliefs. ;)

Perhaps the realisation of random quantum states, which may result in spontaneous thought, is a spiritual phenomenon.

dude it matters to converse with each other but not your cells. We talking intra not inter, the brain does not communicate with the liver or other nuclei within itself with a language it uses chemical messengers

The brain controls your ENTIRE body that is a fact if you think otherwise then you need to go back to school :/

even things you are not aware of the brain controls like your heart your breathing your blood pressure.

Try it a simple experiment to see if your conscious self can overide your brains control.

here is the experiment:

See if you can hold your breath till you die.

and I guarantee you your brain will go "F YOU breath b**tch"

I can't make out what you're saying here.

Sorry I don't know how I screwed up that sentence lol. What I meant to say is "I lived the counter argument". As in I was a regular church goer, pretty much surrendered myself to religion and faith and all that for a long time until one day while in deep thought a few things became clear.

:erm: I was talking about being precise about language when we converse. I.e., be more precise when you type/say something... because language matters.

oh LOL

well its hard to be precise with matters on how the human body works. It does not work as simply as taught in high school. The fact is the layman cannot comprehend the complexity, especially those playing scientist.

Its hard to explain it. Its like trying to learn calculus in mathematics when you dont know how to basic arithmetic.

obviously people arent experts when they ask the sort of questions being asked here. I know a LITTLE bit about the brain because I've studied neuropharmacology and I read 100s of articles every week in order to understand.

Its not impossible for the layman to understand but when you missing so much knowledge you cant suddendly expect to understand the science at the frontier. Classic example is when ordinary people debate physics. Yeah I understand physics in theory however I cannot do the mathematics behind those equations that we take for granted. Einstein didnt pull e = mc^2 out of thin air he derived it

No it does not. Sounds like something science is busy exploring. Anyway, I'm still waiting for you to tell me what my deceitful behaviour was. Plus an answer to my question. If you don't, I will block you as well. Seems like you are fast becoming your own little forum of one ;)

If you could build a computer that outputs and receives signals identical to the types of nerve signals that enter and leave the brain, and connect this computer to the brain so that the usual nerve signals that enter and leave the brain are overridden, you could create a completely fake reality for the owner of that brain.

Matrix...

The feelings of touch, inertia and momentum on the body might be trickier than sights and sounds? Then again, I suppose there's no difference?

scientists have attached neurons to computer chips. It seems the neurons work in tandum with the chip. (i will see if i can find the clip on youtube. It was shown on one of BBC's documentaries i think visions of the future)

he wont answer you and he will pretend he dismissed the point with epic logic and reason :/

by saying the same thing in different words

Point being, if you throw consciousness, neurophysiology and God into the mix like you did, be sure that you are clear on the relevant concepts because... you guessed it, language matters.

Ok... so you changed your mind. But remember there are people who used to be on your side of the fence until one day while in deep thought a few things became clear to them. ;)

And the parrot parrots once again.... :)

And the biggest parrot parrots again. ;)

So have you decided to answer those questions that actually relate to the topics?

And the parrot parrots once again.... :)

... you wasting your time ... ive tried all he does is repeat what you say. I dont even need to see his posts to know what rubbish it is
