Hi
Need advice
1. Small tank (750l) connected to my big tanks (4x1900l) via a pipe.
2. Original setup not applicable (irrigation system)
3. In between the small tank and big tanks is a small pool pump which I used to filter the wellpoint water as there is some sort of white sediment in the water. Water is used for laundry purposes mainly.
4. There is a Float switch in small tank which activates the pool pump when it drops below predetermine level.
5. Problem is pool pump (although switch off) continues to let water trickle into tank leading to it overflowing, unless I move it the close position.
6. Solution - install one of the irrigation solenoid valve powered by 24vac power supply. When I switch it on, it opens and fill up the tank, when I switch it off, it closes. Only problem is not automatic, so have to switch it on and off.
7. Solution two, use a 220v 24vac relay to control the opening and closing of valve. I watch some youtube videos, but I am sure I am not connecting it correctly. It is an 8 way relay.
The trigger is the 220v when the float switch activates, and the irrigation solenoid valve should open and then close when the tank is full.
The problem is that the irrigation valve is not opening when the float switch activates.
So please indicate to which numbers (1-8) do I connect the following
220v (Positive and Negative) Incoming
24vac (Incoming)
24vac (to irrigation valve)
