Hopefully someone here can help me, i've searched high and low but can't find a solution for this

My problem is somehow related to my nat/firewall setup.
For instance: when I transfer a file from one station to another station via skype it gets relayed and only downloads at 1KB/s. Even hamachi connects but with a relay which makes it very slow. It has something to do with the way UDP packets on my firewall/nat setup is not allowed to be "accepted" back from the same ip, if that makes sense to you.

If I connect to my home adsl, and transfer via skype to a user on the wireless network it works perfect, hamachi also works perfect, but as soon as 2 stations on the wireless network tries, it gets relayed.

For example, station1=10.0.0.1 and station2=10.0.0.2. they both connect to an ap(10.0.0.254) when i ping 10.0.0.1 from 10.0.0.2, i get 5-10ms response, Now i load hamachi, on both machine's and use hamachi's ip to ping to each other, now the pings are 1300ms. BUT if i connect from another internet connection from home, use the hamachi IP to ping the hamachi IP of station1 or station2, the response time is 60ms! Remote desktop is working fast etc!

Anyone got ideas that i can try?
Thanks!
Chris

yea tried that forum no luck yet. I've checked the routeros manual about thatmikrotik vpn, but that is greek to me!

Have you set up a pppoe server on your router yet, if so its the same except you create a ppptp (VPN) server.

Thanks a lot to Megasurf for the help. Megasurfs help saved my business with the way they setup my base sation and repeaters. I learned more from them in the last four days than I thought possible. If you need help they are the people to go to for it. They don't just help they make you feel part of their Wi-Fi community.

Careful there. Don't get your WISP confused with a Community.
