Are there any reliable bee compliant sms service providers out there? Our company is making use of Huge Telecom's services at the moment but it is more pain than pleasure. Their service levels leave much to be desired for.

I don't think you understand how B-BBEE works. It's not a requirement but can boost your own BEE level.

Ownership is only one component. Procurement is just as important. The BEE level of your suppliers impacts the points you get for procurement which ultimately determines your own BBE level.

When dealing with big corporates they require suppliers/vendors to have a certain B-BEE rating else you are out in the cold as your own rating will not be good. We are now forced to look at suppliers/vendors as a result.

Vicious cycle....
