I am looking for a car for about 50K or less. Not into cars so I am clueless. Will be driving from CT to Kruger then into Moz. Any advice?

I was presuming a lot of people would say Toyota Tazz or Volkswagon Citi Golf! That's how I was leaning, are these not good options?

I say buy an old-ish Honda, service it and you're good to go for reliability.

Hang on, he want to cross into Moz from the Kruger. He will need a pretty decent 4x4 to do that. The roads up north in Moz are hectic sand roads.

its currently raining cats and dogs in Mozam... my nissan 4x4s are even struggling on these roads at the moment.

OP def needs a 4x4 to get into Mozam, a car wont make it.

I have a reliable one in my fleet. I have never had an unreliable one. It just depends how you maintain it.

Ok with the rains you might have a problem... other than that you will do it in a car man. I still say beetle.

an older model Suzuki Jimny would be ideal. a buddy of mine recently bought one well within your budget.. hes had to sort out few things but, the little jimny is a beast..
