I need to relocate my ONT to use a different power outlet after remodelling, but the fibre in the house is not long enough to reach the new location. Is it possible to use a short fibre extension to make the existng run reach. Are such things available? Or do I need to get the network installer in to rerun the fibre?

You can do it yourself. I took my fibre line up the wall into the roof and back down into another room.
Make sure you have the correct terminals. I'm sure though most are the same.
You can buy set lengths from Scoop, otherwise email hannes(at)dartcom.co.za and ask for the length you require. I got 7.5m SCAPC-SCAPC ST LB grey.

oh and you buy a small green adapter to join the ends
