Truth about DFA network problems

Dark Fibre Africa (DFA) has spent over R450 million rearchitecting its network to address service delivery and performance problems.

This was revealed by Remgro’s head of strategic investments, Pieter Uys, during the company’s recent annual financial results presentation.

That's a staggeringly small amount of money, given the scale of their network.

They trying to sell themselves to Vodacom, they got to keep the balance sheet looking healthy.
Also nothing has really improved. I placed DFA orders 3 months ago and they were connected this week. This was a client that ALREADY had a DFA fibre and we were simply moving from 1 ISP to another ISP so no build out, no wayleaves no nothing, literally light and patch the second pair ... so as so much with DFA its just total BS and lies. No one talks about their outsourcing the repair teams, no one talks about the sabotage of manholes by 3rd party outsourced vendors who then get hired to repair the damage, no one talks about claims of lack of safety at POP's so calls can be pushed to the day shift, no one talks about the understaffing of the NOC so feedback is non-existent, no one talks about them starting to sell a broadband product but having no idea how to support it.
