I tried it but using a USB 2.0 it was very slow to boot and buggy during boot so i abandoned before playing around with it. So if you're not using USB 3.0 don't waste your time, otherwise report back
 
Couldn't get Remix going on my old AMD, got it going on a Intel at work. Haven't tried it on my newer FX series AMD PC though.
Tried Phoenix too, much more forgiving on older hardware and works better from a USB 2 stick. Remix was just to choppy on the USB 2 stick. Should probably think of getting myself a USB 3 stick in the future.
 
You need a flash drive with a write speed of 20MB/s, very hard to find a USB 2.0 like that.
 
Remix OS for PC gets its first update, 32-bit support in the works

About two weeks after releasing Remix OS for PC, the developers of this Android-as-a-desktop operating system have released a first update. It’s available for download from the Jide website, or you can find more details at the xda-developers forum.

Version 2.0.1 is a relatively minor update that fixes some bugs includes a functional battery indicator for laptops. But there’s another bit of news included in the announcement: it looks like Jide is working on a version of Remix OS for computers with 32-bit processors.

The operating system looks and feels like a desktop operating system thanks to a taskbar, desktop, app launcher, and notification area that all feel very Windows-esque. But Remix OS is based on Google Android, which means it supports over a million Android apps and the operating system should work pretty well, even on low-end hardware.

But many folks have found that they cannot install Remix OS for PC on older computers that don’t have 64-bit chips, because Jide has only released 64-bit builds of the operating system so far.

Adding support for 32-bit chips could allow you to run the operating system on older hardware including old netbooks with 1st-generation Intel Atom chips or similar hardware.

As for the version 2.0.1 release, you can download and install it on a USB flash drive the same way you would with version 2.0. But Remix OS for PC does not include automatic updates, which means that the only officially supported way to update is to re-install the operating system from scratch. Make sure to backup any important data before doing that.

Alternately, you could try an unofficial method for updating to a newer build of Remix OS without losing any data.

A Jide representative tells me that the company hopes to include over-the-air updating functionality in future versions of Remix OS for PC.

Seeing the Ubuntu tablet release, I bet Remix could be fashioned to be a convergence device. Android tablet, the n plug in and voila...a Remix desktop.
Even something like Chromixium or clean ChromeOS.
