I want to know if I can and then how to use my remote for my remote control aeroplane as a joystick in say BF3. It has a usb connection but I can't find out how to set it up. It would be so much easier to fly jets and helis with a remote.

You should. I can use my xbox gamepad to fly (which DOES make flying significantly easier).

Those RC radios with usb work on a range of games, so in theory...

Nomnom when say flying a jet to turn you have to continuously move the mouse up to down making it slow and tiring, a remote would mean I just need to pull a lever back to turn.

You don't use the mouse, you only use the keyboard. You use the arrow keys for the main movements, and the 'A' and 'D' for fine adjustments and 'W' for throttle up and 'S' for throttle down. It's really not that hard, shouldn't take you more than 30mins to get fully used to it.

To do a hard turn left for example you throttle down with 'S' (hold it down) then use the left arrow key to the angle you want then press the down arrow key.

So is BF3 more realistic with flight? I remember previous ones being so lame that it was simply a matter of pressing up down left right.... lame compared to realistic flightsims like FS X anyway

Still more or less the same, the jets glide rather than fly.
