Remote controlling

I have a Samsung 32" LCD, I have a HD PVR and an HTPC running Windows MCE.

Would a Logitech Harmony 525 control all of these things? What exactly is the motivation in spending R725 on a remote control?

Yes, it should be able to. The Logitech Harmony series can be programmed with one-touch commands, which significantly simplifies things. R700-odd is not that much for a universal remote with such comprehensive features.

I have a Logitech Harmony 525 and works great with my HD PVR. Only problem is I have not figured out how to get Windows 7 MC or Vista MC to change HD PVR channels as I do with the SD PVR. Guess they still need to release the remote codes for the HD PVR.
