Hi there guys

I see there are a few posts regarding Remote Desktop. Can anyone help by putting a step by step tutorial on setting up Remote Desktop please?

I would like to access my Desktop PC via my Notebook with MTN Data Card this holiday when I'm away.

Please, anyone that could help. I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Piesang;)

It should come with windows. Type in the ip address of your server and connect,
If you have a Apple notebook, you can download the client from www.microsoft.com

Your post isn't to clear for me to begin with, I am reading some various things which is contradictory...
Can you make it a bit clearer?
Do you want to browse through your pc or do you want to connect remotely to your desktop in order to work on the desktop or what is the deal?
You also mention the MTN data card.

Or oh wait, you are going to be away from home with your notebook and a MTN data card and you want to enable Remote Desktop on your desktop so you can access your desktop form your notebook through the MTN data card connection.
This can be tricky cause you will need to make sure your MTN connection will allow RDP sessions in the first place. This is potentially your biggest downer.

It would be easier to have someone, like a friend, help you with this than trying to get it setup through a forum, especially if you don't understand the concepts.

The easiest way is to go to http://www.instant-vpn.com/ and set up an free account. It simply works and it is secure.
It is to much of a hassle to set up a VPN connection when you can do this in 10 minutes.

Cool, thanks m8. I installed the software and it does exactly what I want it to do. And it works with my MTN Data Card connection.

This rocks. And like you said, 10 minutes. If it wasnt faster.

Thanks again.:D ;)
