We got the "Remote link eye for DSTV (compatible with dualview and PVR). But it doesn't work. We did phone the helpline and they said that we should phone multi choice. (but that didn't help...:wtf:)

Our setup here are like follow;
1) The primary decoder are in our living room.
2) The secondary decoder are in a flat next to the house.

We have a TV in our bedroom that is on the primary decoder.( where the remote link are)

Multi choice said that we should change the communication port from RF IN to RF OUT. Then the remote do work in our bedroom, but the secondary decoder doesn't work...:confused::confused::confused:

Can someone please help..:cry::cry::cry:

Firstly do you have any splitters in the cable between the living room and your bedroom TV? this can affect the tv eye signal being sent to the primary decoder.

IF you have no splitters then you may need to enable the TV eye on your primary decoder.

What type of decoder is your primary decoder?

Sorry I should really learn to read properly before I post.

I see that when you change your RF in to RF out that the TV link does work. If I am correct this is because the power needed to run the TV link eye is based on the RF out.

When you say the secondry decoder does not work is it that you cannot control it with the remote but you are still getting a picture? or that you are not getting any picture at all?

You need to make sure that the 'relay remote commands' option is enabled. That way the primary decoder receives the remote commands via the eye, and sends remote signals meant for the secondary decoder to it via the heartbeat cable.

Sorry, I didn't mention that the "TV Link set-up" said the following: "Set Xtra view Com Port to RF Out for the TV link to be abailable".

I did that, but as soon as I change that -the secondary decoder doesn't work at all....

Because your network is set up for RF in, not RF out. I would advise you to get an installer, or download the XtraView manual from the DStv forums.
